azlin w

Run the w command on all VMs to see who's logged in and what they're doing.

Usage

azlin w [OPTIONS]

Options

Common Use Cases

Check Who's Working

# See who's logged into which VMs
azlin w | grep "user"

Monitor Load Averages

# Check system load across fleet
azlin w | grep "load average"

Find Idle VMs

# Find VMs with no users (candidates for stopping)
azlin w | grep "0 users"

What It Shows

  • Uptime: How long VM has been running
  • Users: Who's currently logged in
  • Load Average: System load (1min, 5min, 15min)
  • Activity: What each user is doing
